In Memoriam: Jim Bravos

Jim Bravos

Jim Bravos

Also known as “Skip,” Jim Bravos died September 21, 2021, of pancreatic cancer. He had been diagnosed the day after his 70th birthday, and a few weeks later he died. He didn’t suffer. He died at home with family by his side. He and his wife were married 43 years.

Jim attended our 50-year reunion in September 2019. If you have memories of Jim, please share them with Linda (lindakbuckley@yahoo.com), and they will be added here.

Thank you, Doris Korn-Walker, for reporting Jim’s passing.

Jim was in my 4th grade class at Thomas Edison and one day he brought in a jar of Skippy Peanut Butter and put it on Mrs. Phipps desk. When she asked him why, he told her that Skippy was his nickname.
