Victoria Abt
Doris saw an announcement that Victoria (aka Vickie) Abt died recently. In checking it out, Doris received the following from Kris Franz. (I think Kris is related to a good friend of Vickie’s.) I’ve done some light editing. (Example: There seem to be two spellings for Vicki and Vickie, so I’m using the one with the e.)
From Kris Franz (Westmoor alumni Facebook group) to Doris Korn-Walker: Vickie [Abt] died October 2, 2024, and was found on October 3. The sheriff’s department contacted her 93-year-old aunt back east, and she is the one who signed the documents needed for her death certificate. My sister-in-law Julie, her husband (John) and Julie’s two daughters and their spouses (Kristie, Becky, Drew and Thomas) helped clean out her apartment in the city [San Francisco]. One of Vickie’s nice neighbors took in her rescue pup, which had been prearranged by Vickie. It took 3 days to clear out her apartment. The celebration of life has already happened. Vickie was Julie’s “big sister”, and Vic and Vera were another set of parents to her. Vickie’s death is a huge loss for Julie.
